THE CARELESS WHISPERS RETURN!
A George Michael & Wham! Holiday Celebration
Back by popular demand – Saturday, December 19!
After a hit holiday run last year, The Careless Whispers are back for another gloriously nostalgic celebration of the music of George Michael and Wham! – with new songs, fresh surprises, and all the soulful sparkle, heartbreak, and unapologetic glamour that made the first show such a hit.
Portland music artist Holcombe Waller once again assembles his extraordinary band of Portland all-stars, joined by a dazzling lineup of special guest vocalists: China Forbes, Gabriel Kahane, Arietta Ward, Hannah Dimo, and Wyatt Button.
Expect George Michael’s timeless hits, beloved holiday classics, and irresistible deep cuts, all reimagined through Waller’s signature blend of vocal artistry and emotional storytelling. From shimmering pop anthems to intimate ballads, the evening delivers big harmonies, lush arrangements, unexpected musical moments, and an irresistible mix of holiday joy, nostalgia, and pure pop exuberance.
Two performances, at 5 PM and 8 PM, each featuring the full ensemble in two complete sets with an intermission. Both audiences get the whole experience, including some new tunes and special surprises!
Whether you were there the first time and can’t wait to relive the magic, or missed out and heard what a night it was, here’s your chance. Bring your friends, your lovers, your exes (the fun ones), your chosen family, your favorite troublemakers, your holiday houseguests, and anyone who’s ever belted out “Last Christmas” like their life depended on it. Come celebrate the music that reminds us why we fell in love with pop in the first place.
Don’t miss it. All the hits, all the heart, and a little more holiday magic.
