38th Annual WINTERFOLK – A Benefit for Transition Projects

38th Annual WINTERFOLK – A Benefit for Transition Projects
Saturday, February 20
Doors: 6 pm Show: 7 pm
Oregon’s largest annual folk music concert event celebrates its 38th anniversary.
Winterfolk is a rare expression of giving that brings our community together in the common celebration of music and caring, with every dollar raised going to the people it is intended to help.
For over 58 years, Transition Projects has delivered life-saving and life changing support to some of Portland’s most vulnerable residents. Winterfolk is proud to partner with this longtime organization.

Winterfolk is proud to present a stellar lineup of talent for 2027.

Headliner Craig Carothers has an old school kind of cool that’s hard to classify. Too folk for rock, too pop for folk, too jazz for country, too tall to be a jockey, Craig’s music is heartbreakingly beautiful and scathingly funny, delivered with a lively deadpan smile and a voice that’s downright swoony.

Joining Craig in the 2027 Winterfolk lineup are:
• Deft, heart-on-their sleeve performing songwriters Kristen Grainger & Dan Wetzel of  True North.
• Winterfolk founder, River City Folk radio show host, and celebrated folk artist Tom May
• Multi-instrumentalist duo The Horsenecks (Gabrielle Macrae and Barry Southern) – Old Time tunes with powerful modern sensibilities.
• Soul-stirring singer-songwriter, recording artist, audio engineer and multi-instrumentalist Clara Baker.
• Winterfolk wouldn’t be Winterfolk without the luminous poetry of Kim Stafford, Oregon Poet Laureate Emeritus.

When you buy a ticket consider making an additional donation to Transition Projects at the same time! Your donation is tax-deductible.
All seating is General Admission.
