Portland all-star rock band LOVE GIGANTIC performs Pink Floyd’s classic album Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety accompanied by aerial dance and choreography by Brandy Guthery and a dazzling light show. Musical performers include: Sarah King, Arthur Parker, and David Langenes (Nowhere Band) Chet Lyster and Joe Mengis (Eels) Jenny Conlee-Drizos (The Decemberists) Michael Nelson (Climber) Kristi EvansJon VanCura (Marchfourth) Tickets$35 General Admission$45 At the Door$50 Preferred Seating (seating in the first 5 rows of the center section) Minors ok with Parent or Guardian The Alberta Rose Theater will no longer be requiring masks or proof of vaccination for entry (effective March 12th [masks] and March 20th [proof of vaccine]). The Oregon Health Authority still recommends masking for people at higher risk from COVID-19, including unvaccinated people and immunocompromised people. Our staff will continue to wear masks and we highly encourage all customers wear one as well. While vaccines do not prevent individuals from contracting COVID, they are proven to be effective in greatly reducing the risk of severe illness, speeding up recovery and reducing downtime. We strongly recommend our guests be vaccinated and up to date on boosters and evaluate their own health situation prior to attending an event. Professional readers, actors, and/or local authors & writers read aloud a piece of poetry, fiction (from any genre), memoir, non-fiction, etc, which is then followed by a burlesque performance inspired by the piece. A powerful collective of aerial dancers twist and turn through this story while surrounded by a stunning visual and encompassing soundscape.Featuring a musical score and live performance by Eastghost, AKA Ryan James Akeley and live projection art by Monica Rose Kelly.A-WOL was created in 2003 as a “Collective,” using the different strengths and skills of all company members, both on and off stage, and liberating audiences from traditional ideas of what it means to dance. Mingling the worlds of dance and aerial, A-WOL’s dancers ignite a wonder and curiosity for what can happen when a human body takes flight.
