A powerful and versatile vocalist, Darka was once part of the duo Darka & Slavko, who, as first generation Ukrainians recorded several Ukrainian language albums, and won “Best International Band” at the first independent Ukrainian music festival “Chervona Ruta.”Darka will performs with her band, The Borshch Beatniks, which includes her partner-in-time, Miri Stebivka who is also Ukrainian; Bernardo Gomez on bass, and Andrew Alikhanov on clarinet. Darka and Miroslav have family in Ukraine, and they dedicate this performance to them.
