The Oregon Health Authority still recommends masking for people at higher risk from COVID-19, including unvaccinated people and immunocompromised people. While face masks are no longer mandatory, our staff will continue to wear them and we highly encourage that you wear one as well. Makana
This is a HAWAIIAN MUSIC show you won’t want to miss! Makana is a master of the Hawaiian Slack Key guitar. The New York Times calls him “dazzling.” His music has been featured on three Grammy-nominated albums, including the soundtrack of the Academy-Award winning film “The Descendants”. Guitar Player Magazine ranked him as one of the top 3 guitarists in America, and the Hawai’i Academy of Recording Arts recognized him with the Slack Key Legacy Award. Makana will perform songs from his brand new album Pūlama: Legacies of Hawai’i, a heartfelt homage to the genuine spirit and sound of Hawai’i, sharing kī hō’alu (slack key guitar) and leo (voice) in the uniquely Hawaiian style. Drawing from legends of the Hawaiian music renaissance like George Helm, Gabby “Pops” Pahinui, Dennis Kamakahi and The Sunday Mānoa, Makana invites us to immerse our spirits in the sound of “old Hawai’i” as he offers song and story in the “nahenahe” (sweet sounding) fashion of his kupuna (elders). An Evening with Lúnasa
Doors open at 7:00 Lúnasa is the hottest Irish acoustic group in the world. They have appeared on the Alberta Rose stage with such luminaries as Tim O’Brien, Kevin Burke and Altan. $25 Advance$30 At the Door Fully vaccinated minors ok with parent/guardian COVID SAFETY POLICY: All ticket holders are required to show proof of full COVID vaccination. This means that ticket holders have received their final vaccination dose of either the two-dose regimen of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or one dose of Johnson & Johnson at least 14 days prior to the event date. A negative covid test will not be accepted for entry. Please get boosted if eligible. Also, in accordance with state and local guidelines, face masks are required for entry. Masks must completely cover nose and mouth. Gaiters and bandanas are not acceptable. Please wear a high-filtration efficiency mask with a tight fit to the face, such as a KN95 or N95.Masks must be worn at all times except while actively eating or drinking. Prolonged periods of mask removal are not permitted for eating or drinking—masks must be worn between bites and sips.Children ages 4 and under, for whom there is currently no vaccine available, are not permitted to attend. Ages 5 and up must provide proof of a full course vaccination.
