Tracy Grammer

Tracy Grammer is one of the most beloved acts in contemporary folk music. Called “one of the finest pure musicians anywhere in folkdom,” (Boston Globe), she has performed on coffeehouse, theater, and festival stages since 1997, and has been a guest on Mountain Stage, World Cafe, River City Folk, SiriusXM Radio, and Folk Alley. With pristine fingerstyle guitar, percussive strums, dynamic vocals, and incantatory narratives, Tracy delivers a polished, personal show notable for its melodies, heart-forward content, and engaging, authentic delivery. It’s often the case at the end of the show that audiences can’t decide which moved them more — the songs, or the stories behind them. Tracy’s journey in music has been marked by both tragedy and triumph. In 2002, then-duo partner and songwriter Dave Carter died suddenly while on tour. Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer, heralded as “the new voice of folk music” by the Associated Press, was riding high on the success of their third album, DRUM HAT BUDDHA, and had just finished a five-week bus tour with Joan Baez as featured artists and Baez’s band mates. Tracy’s determination and grace in the wake of unfathomable loss, and her transparency as she gained her footing as a solo artist, have earned her a devoted, lifelong following, who see her concerts as nothing less than a celebration of courage, bravery, vulnerability, and love. As one fan puts it, “With Tracy, it’s not just about the music — it’s a soul journey.”In addition to performing internationally, Tracy has judged Kerrville New Folk, served as a Folk Alliance panelist and mentor, led songwriting workshops, hosted the Dave Carter Memorial Writer’s Round-up for eight years, taught choral music at private high schools in Massachusetts, and delivered the keynote at Cape May Singer-Songwriter Weekend. She has toured as bandmate and opening act for Joan Baez, performed with Hugh Masekela and Odetta as part of New York State’s Songs of the Spirit Tour, and recorded with Mary Chapin Carpenter. She is the only performer invited to play the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival 13 years in a row and promoters everywhere agree: the photos don’t do her justice.Tracy returns to perform in Portland for the first time in years.  Don’t miss it!Tickets:$25 Advance$30 At the Door Minors ok with parent/guardianReview our Health & Safety Policies HERE

Kimo Camat presents Kiki’s Delivery Service of Sexy Sweaty Summer Lovin’

“Let me sit this ass on ya…”   Kiki’s Delivery Service of Sexy Sweaty Summer Lovin’, curated by local actor/singer Kimo Camat, is an electrifying concert that promises to be a transformative celebration of intimacy, self-discovery, and the profound connections we share with those we love and with those we invite into our beds. This hot end of summer concert invites the audience to embark on a voyage of personal awakening, encouraging us to feel at home in our bodies and embrace the sensuality that lies within through music and some spoken word. Fusing Funk, Neo Soul, and a dash of Musical Theatre, KIKI will take you to sonic heights with soulful covers as well as premiering their own original pieces. Serving as somewhat of a “Part Two” to their February show, Kiki’s Delivery Service of Love Songs & Heartbreak, this concert delves into the myriad ways we connect with one another, highlighting the beauty and complexity of our bumbling beautifully built bodies. These tales of intimacy and passion are told with a raw honesty that is both moving and hilarious, celebrating the liberating magic that happens when we open our hearts, souls, and holes to others.  Kiki’s Delivery Service of Sexy Sweaty Summer Lovin’ is a celebration of sexual awakenings and self love. It invites us to let go of our inhibitions, to dance with abandon, and to revel in the beauty of our own bodies and throw caution to the wind. Whether he’s sweating onstage at the mic, dishonoring his family on his knees at Blowpony, or platonically flirting with everyone he meets, KIKI has learned to embrace and confess his love to every swerve and curve on his body.   Kimo Camat has had the privilege to spend the last 16 years creating art on stage and has found solace in singing and performing. His band includes Mak Kastelic (piano), Joseph Mammarella (guitar), Juliet Terrill (bass), Paul Van Sickle (drums), Peter QB (saxophone), Christina Avellan Mantilla / Madeleine Tran / Xander Dean (backing vocals).   This event is graciously sponsored by Portland Queer Arts Project.   Tickets$25 Advance$30 At the DoorAges 21 & OverReview our venue FAQ here

The Quebe Sisters with special guests The Catnip Brothers

With over fifteen years of touring to date, The Quebe Sisters have delivered their authentic triple fiddle and three-part harmony sound to the concert halls and festivals of North America and Europe. Grace, Sophia, and Hulda Quebe front an innovative Progressive Western Swing band of archtop guitar, upright bass, fiddles and sibling harmony. The Dallas-based five-piece presents a unique Americana blend of Western Swing, Jazz-influenced Swing, Country, Texas-Style Fiddling, and Western music.  “We differentiate our music as ‘Progressive Western Swing’ from simply ‘Western Swing’ because we aren’t trying to sound just like Bob Wills,” Grace Quebe explains. “Instead, we continue his vision, playing the style he pioneered in an authentic way by incorporating new genres and songs, interpreting them using our own unique voice through Country instrumentation.” Combine the musical stylings of The Mills Brothers, Ray Price, Count Basie, Willie Nelson, and you have none other than The Quebe Sisters. Tyrone Wells

URGENT UPDATE- DOORS ARE NOW SET TO OPEN AT 7:30PM. First things first. Let’s get this out-of-the-way. Tyrone Wells (I) wrote this bio.  I figured, “who better to talk about myself than myself?”.    I’m a lot of things in no particular order… a preacher’s son, a brother, a husband, a dad, a real estate lover, a major-label artist, an independent artist, an opener, a headliner, a very self-conscious dancer (think “Footloose”, only without the cathartic cutting loose), a gardener, a wanna be surfer, a person who has needed therapy, a pickleball player, a barstool theologian, and this next one kind of goes without saying because you’re here reading my bio.. I’m  a singer-songwriter.     I’ve written a lot of songs.  Probably approaching around 1,000 songs now… to me, when I wrote them, they were all good songs.  The luxury of time has informed me, some of the songs were maybe just good to me.  And some of the songs, inexplicably, have millions upon millions of listeners.  Meanwhile, others have tens upon tens.  I don’t know why, I just write them and set them free.    Ultimately, I’m trying my best to be honest, and write a song that I, and you can both love.  I’m gonna keep trying.  I’m so grateful that you have listened. Be it once, or be it a hundred times.  I’ve got big love for you.  I’ll be over here chopping away and reminding myself to be vulnerable. Peace and Love, XOXO Tyrone   Tickets: $25 Advance$30 At the Door Minors ok when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Review our Health & Safety Policies HERE
