Crying on the Camino – Saturday Matinée

Stage performer, Celeste Mancinelli has an extremely funny and deeply moving story to tell in this One Woman Show. Mancinelli tells a heartfelt story of walking 200 miles on Spain’s El Camino de Santiago, an ancient pilgrim path leading to Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain. Each year, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from around the world walk or bike various routes to reach the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela. This solo show is a true account of Mancinelli’s 2018 adventures with her two walking companions. An unlikely pilgrim, Mancinelli combines humor and poignancy to describe the high and lows, everyday horrors and, ultimately, the spiritual reward of arriving in Santiago.  Celeste applies her singular brand of humor to her journey resulting in what has been called a story of “hilarity, hardship and healing.” Crying on the Camino” has received the 2022 Broadway World Award for Best New Play and Best Performer. Her show has received standing ovations from audiences across the United States, performing in eleven different states. “Crying on the Camino” premiered in Madrid and Santiago, Spain this past May  – 2023.    Celeste Mancinelli has been performing professionally since the early 80’s. Her NYC credits include the hit show “Nunsense” at the Douglas Fairbanks Theater, Cynthia Heimel’s long-running play “A Girl’s Guide to Chaos” at the American Place Theater (originating the character of Lurene) and Larry Gelbart‘s “1-2-3-4-5” at the Manhattan Theater Club. She has appeared as Mama in “My Big Fat Gay Italian Wedding” and its sequel (Funeral) at the St Luke’s Theatre. Mancinelli has worked in numerous Off-Broadway, cabaret, stock, regional and national touring productions throughout the United States.    Tickets:$25 General AdmissionPresented in Cooperation with the American Pilgrims on the Camino Minors ok when accompanied by a parent or guardianReview our Health & Safety Policies HERE

IT’S ALL GONNA BREAK featuring Broken Social Scene – Documentary Screening and Virtual Q&A with Kevin Drew

In the early 2000’s in Toronto, a group of young creative musicians collectively known as Broken Social Scene, got together and soon became a worldwide phenomenon. Cinematographer and friend, Stephen Chung was there, behind the lens of his camera, capturing it all.  Friendships, relationships, business and art… Stephen lovingly documents the highs and lows of a band who only wanted to create music on their own terms, and ended up changing everything. It is a celebration of the creative process, an homage to art and artists, and a love letter to the community and city which allowed it to thrive.    With actual footage from a time before everyone had a camera in their pocket, It’s All Gonna Break is a time capsule showing how special those moments were, and how they helped form the people we are today. Featuring never before seen personal archival footage, and modern day interviews with Kevin Drew, Brendan Canning, Feist, Emily Haines, Amy Milan, Charles Spearin, Andrew Whiteman, Justin Peroff, John Crossingham, Evan Cranley, James Shaw, Jeffrey Remedios and David Newfeld.   Kevin Drew joins us virtually for an audience Q & A after the screening.
