Family Preservation Project‘s Annual Day of Empathy includes a showing of the short film “Like a Shield” followed by dramatic re-imaginings of a world where children of incarcerated parents are heard, respected and honored, and wisdom on how to make this world our reality.
 
This event will feature:
A discussion with Chesa Boudin, former District Attorney of San Francisco and Executive Director of UC Berkeley’s Criminal Law & Justice Center and Family Preservation Project’s Youth Advisory Council
 
Dramatic Storytelling from Open Hearts Open Minds and Family Preservation Project Alumni
 
 
Music from The Lullaby Project, written in conjunction with mothers experiencing incarceration.
