Portland Chicano Rocker Joshua Josué returns to the Alberta Rose Theatre with his powerful annual tribute to Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly, celebrating not only their timeless rock ’n’ roll legacy but also the official release of his new album, Broadcast to the Surf Ballroom. The project features several songs Valens and Holly left unfinished—rare home demos and incomplete sketches that Joshua has carefully restored, expanded, and fully recorded, imagining what these young pioneers might have created had their lives not been cut short. Blending authenticity with fresh energy, Joshua brings these revived tracks—along with beloved classics—to the stage for a night that honors the past while re-igniting its creative spark.
This year’s lineup is Joshua Josué, Ben Rice (guitar) Nick Skalberg (bass) and Yoshi Sheetz (drums) with special guest vocal appearances by Freddie Trujillo and Curtis Salgado.
This will be a partially-seated show, so you can DANCE!
